- Der Begriff Skript wird in der Kognitiven Psychologie und der Transaktionsanalyse verwendet. In der Kognitiven Psychologie bezeichnet der Begriff ein Handlungsschema bzw. Regeln, die eine bestimmte Handlung beschreiben. Im Bereich der Transaktionsanalyse ist er als eine Art Lebensplan aufzufassen, nach dem ein Mensch sein Leben gestaltet. (de)
- In the behaviorism approach to psychology, behavioral scripts are a sequence of expected behaviors for a given situation. Scripts include default standards for the actors, props, setting, and sequence of events that are expected to occur in a particular situation. The classic script example involves an individual dining at a restaurant. This script has several components: props including tables, menus, food, and money, as well as roles including customers, servers, chefs, and a cashier. The sequence of expected events for this script begins with a hungry customer entering the restaurant, ordering, eating, paying and then ends with the customer exiting. People continually follow scripts which are acquired through habit, practice and simple routine. Following a script can be useful because it could help to save the time and mental effort of deciding on appropriate behavior each time a situation is encountered. (en)

Per esempio, se conosco lo script della festa di compleanno, so che ci sarà una torta, degli invitati, dei regali e la canzone Tanti auguri a te. - Skrypt poznawczy – umysłowa, uogólniona zdarzeń, działań lub ich ciągów, zawierająca informacje odnoszące się do typowego ich przebiegu. Skrypt prezentuje klasyczne elementy i sytuacje dla danego zdarzenia, które powtarzają się w większości jego wykonań. Pojęcie zostało opracowane i wprowadzone przez Rogera C. Schanka i Roberta P. Abelsona w 1977 roku. Skrypty poznawcze charakteryzują się organizacją scenek, które mają pewne typowe następstwo w czasie (np. "wyjście do kina" – wyjście z domu, przejazd komunikacją miejską, dotarcie do kina, kupienie biletu, obejrzenie filmu, wyjście z kina, powrót do domu). Skrypt to inaczej scenariusz, w którym znajdują się typowe zachowania, jakie wykonuje człowiek z zachowaniem chronologii zdarzeń. Skrypt jest strukturą poznawczą i wykonawczą, która stanowi gotowy program działania dla człowieka, jeżeli wystąpi on w roli jednego z aktorów skryptu. (pl)
