V červnu 2012 byl zatčen českou policií kvůli zranění a následnému úmrtí fanouška při koncertě v roce 2010. Zůstal pět týdnů ve vazbě a následně byl propuštěn na kauci 8 milionů Kč. V březnu 2013 byl Pražským městským soudem zproštěn obžaloby s tím, že vinu na neštěstí nese především pořadatel a klub Abaton, kteří nezajistili dohodnutá bezpečnostní opatření. Podczas koncertu Randy Blythe miał zepchnąć ze sceny 19-letniego mężczyznę z publiczności, który w wyniku tego odniósł obrażenia i po 14 dniach zmarł w szpitalu. 27 czerwca 2012 roku Blythe został zatrzymany w Czechach i tymczasowo aresztowany. 2 sierpnia został zwolniony z aresztu po wniesieniu kaucji w wysokości ok. 400 000 dolarów.
