About SCCCS
Bahnsen Theological Seminary is the degree-granting division of SCCCS. Its purpose is to train Christians to handle the word of God properly and apply it to all areas of life. BTS does this through individual courses and four Masters degree programs - divinity, Christian studies, apologetics and philosophy. BTS programs feature serious scholarly work in several fields of study while maintaining the personalized tutoring that has been SCCCS's hallmark.

Since its inception in 1997, BTS's enrollment has grown to approximately 120 masters students and 200 students taking individual courses. The seminary has students in almost all of the 50 states, several students in Canada and even a few students in other parts of the world including Australia, Brunei, Japan, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom. Many of our students are preparing for the ministry (several are under care in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and the Presbyterian Church in America). Some are using BTS to help prepare them for graduate school. Others are already pastors or elders seeking to further their education. Still others are parents of home-schooled children looking to improve their teaching skills. Many are simply interested laymen desiring to better understand and apply the Christian world view to all areas of life. Christians with different backgrounds and goals are benefiting from the educational opportunities at BTS.

How the program works
While BTS regularly conducts in-residence courses, the entire program may be completed through correspondence. Each course is taught by one of our distinguished faculty members and includes four hours of one-to-one tutoring. The BTS faculty tutors the students in their individual programs.
