- El Govern d'Irlanda del Nord és la branca executiva de l'Assemblea d'Irlanda del Nord, el Parlament delegat per a aquest país constituent (Home Nation) del Regne Unit. Respon davant l'Assemblea, i va ser establert segons els termes de l'Acta d'Irlanda del Nord de 1998, redactada segons l'Acord de Divendres Sant del mateix any que va posar punt final al conflicte que va enfrontar les comunitats catòlica i protestant de la regió. L'Executiu està compost per un Ministre Principal i un Viceministre Principal (segons el principi de diarquia pel qual fins i tot comparteixen office, departament ministerial). La denominació dels càrrecs és de First Minister i Deputy First Minister, per diferenciar-los de Primer Ministre britànic (Prime Minister), més la resta de ministres amb carteres individuals. Tots ells són elegits per l'Assemblea per un sistema de "poder compartit" (sharing-power), en el qual, mitjançant la utilització de la regla D'Hondt, es reparteixen els ministeris proporcionalment a la força electoral dels diferents partits. Això fa que a la pràctica els dos càrrecs principals siguin sistemàticament ocupats un per un polític unionista i l'altre per un republicà irlandès. - The Northern Ireland Executive is the devolved government of Northern Ireland, an administrative branch of the legislature – the Northern Ireland Assembly. It is answerable to the assembly and was initially established according to the terms of the Northern Ireland Act 1998, which followed the Good Friday Agreement (or Belfast Agreement). The executive is referred to in the legislation as the Executive Committee of the assembly and is an example of consociationalist ("power-sharing") government. The Northern Ireland Executive consists of the First Minister and deputy First Minister and various ministers with individual portfolios and remits. The main assembly parties appoint most ministers in the executive, except for the Minister of Justice who is elected by a cross-community vote. It is one of three devolved governments in the United Kingdom, the others being the Scottish and Welsh governments. In January 2017, the then deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness resigned in protest over the Renewable Heat Incentive scandal and the Northern Ireland Executive consequently collapsed. The governing of Northern Ireland fell to civil servants in a caretaker capacity until January 2020, when the parties signed the New Decade, New Approach agreement and an Executive was subsequently established. L'esecutivo dell'Irlanda del Nord è uno dei 3 governi devoluti nel Regno Unito, gli altri sono quello scozzese e gallese. Risponde prima all'Assemblea, ed è stato stabilito secondo i termini della legge del Northern Ireland Act 1998, redatta secondo l'Accordo del Venerdì Santo dello stesso anno che poneva fine al conflitto che affliggeva le comunità cattoliche e protestanti della regione. L'esecutivo è composto da un primo ministro e un vice ministro capo (inizialmente una diarchia con la quale condividono anche l'ufficio, dipartimento ministeriale). I nomi delle posizioni sono First Minister y Deputy First Minister, per distinguerli dal Primo ministro britannico, più il resto dei ministri con portafogli individuali. Tutti loro sono eletti dall'Assemblea attraverso un sistema di "potere condiviso" (sharing power), tramite il quale, utilizzando il metodo d'Hondt, i Ministeri sono distribuiti proporzionalmente alla forza elettorale dei diversi partiti.
