View video of Muhammad Yunus' speech on 'Abolishing Poverty'

8th March, Sydney:2006 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Muhammad Yunus spoke to an audience of almost 1000 in Sydney, on 'Abolishing Poverty - The Human rights Priority'

This was one of two public lectures Professor Yunus made during his visit to Australia. He talks about the success of the Grameen Bank's microcredit scheme in lifting millions of people out of poverty, through the disbursement of millions of tiny loans to the poor. Professor Yunus also encourages us to consider the role of 'social business' in addressing many of our social issues.
