- جمعية دراسة التثبيت الداخلي للكسور (بالألمانية: Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen واختصارها AO، بالإنجليزية: Association for the Study of Internal Fixation واختصارها ASIF) وتعرف عادة بالاسم المختصر AO، هي منظمة لا تهدف إلى الربح، الغرض من إنشائها تطوير أساليب علاج مصابي الكسور بالطرق الجراحية. تأسست هذه المؤسسة في سويسرا سنة 1958، وهي تقيم دورات تدريبية في دول عديدة على طرق التثبيت الداخلي الجراحي للكسور باستخدام الشرائح والأساليب الجراحية الأخرى. كما يوجد قسم في الجمعية مختص بجراحة الوجه والفكين. - Die AO Foundation, auch AO Stiftung, ist eine medizinische Stiftung mit Sitz in der Schweiz. Präsident ist seit 2021 Florian Gebhard vom Universitätsklinikum Ulm. Sein Vorgänger war Robert McGuire vom University of Mississippi Medical Center. Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen, woraus die heutige Stiftung hervorgegangen ist, hat ab 1958 Grundlagen für eine Standardisierung der operativen Knochenbruchbehandlung geschaffen. The AO Foundation is credited with popularizing operative fracture treatment, and being the pioneer in development of bone implants and instruments. The foundation had its origins in a Swiss study group, Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen (German for "working group for bone fusion issues") or AO, founded in Switzerland in 1958 as a society, transformed into a foundation in December 1984. Dystrybucją i sprzedażą wszystkich produktów AO zajmuje się spółka zależna Synthes. Fundacja została założona w Szwajcarii w 1958 roku. Regularnie organizuje kursy na całym świecie dla ortopedów i innych pracowników służby zdrowia, na które składają się wykłady teoretyczne, zajęcia praktyczne jak również grupy dyskusyjne. (pl)
