Let me set the scene: It was an invite-only group of 25 founders and makers demoing cool products and rock climbing We had makers of all types: - Dani Grant (dev tools) - Mickey Friedman (set design) - Jeff Tang (nutty pudding) - Ayush Jaiswal (AI hiring) - Sanjana F. (SF news) - Rose Xi (music SaaS) - Shireen Jaffer (Figma for your life) I gave out these special cat t-shirts that say “I do what I want” because that is who we are in startups. We do whatever we want. We make whatever we want. We build whatever we want. Want to start a SaaS around dogs? You can do that. Want to build a non-AI app during the AI hype? You can do that. Want to build hardware to solve a global crisis? You can do that. Want to write about corruption in your local city? You can do that. What to write a book about dank memes? You can do that.
