FYI: The way it was done in the predecessor’s, predecessor’s,
predecessor, Platypus, was to allow the user to save the actions as
GreaseMonkey scripts. That provided a LOT of useful functionality
for little effort, but is a bit of an advanced user feature.
Platypus also had a paste, option so one could re-arrange a
page’s format by removing something and pasting it elsewhere. That
was very useful when the problem was not just that some element was
something annoying to get rid of, but that it was in an
inconvenient location and would be more useful elsewhere.
P.S. I turned on the experimental “Remember page alterations”
feature. I’ll let you know if I discover any problems
