Before joining General Atlantic in 2010, Mr. Reiner served as CIO of General Electric, where he led M&A, Sourcing, IT, Operations, and Quality. Prior to GE, he was a partner at Boston Consulting Group, where he drove strategies and operations improvements for high-technology businesses. Mr. Reiner holds a B.A in economics from Harvard University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Benjamin Nye Chief Executive Officer, Turbonomic Mr. Nye joined Turbonomic (formerly VMTurbo) as Chief Executive Officer in 2013 after serving as a member of the Board of Directors and leading Bain's initial investment in Turbonomic in 2011. He has over 20 years of experience as a senior business leader in the enterprise software space. Prior to Turbonomic, he was Senior Vice President at VERITAS Software following its acquisition of Precise Software, where he served as COO and CFO of Precise. During his tenure, Mr. Nye helped build Precise from a $10M privately-held company to a $100M public company – which subsequently became the fastest growing public company in its space. Ben also is co-managing partner at Bain Capital Ventures. Mr. Nye has been named to the Forbes annual “Midas List” of top VC investors six times. He currently serves on the board of several companies including Solarwinds, Rapid7, SevOne, and AppNeta. Previously, he was a principal at Allied Capital. He also served as a political appointee member of the Senior Executive Service and direct report to US Treasury Secretaries Robert Rubin and Lloyd Bentsen. As a Harvard Scholar, Mr. Nye graduated with honors from Harvard College and Harvard Business School. Shmuel Kliger Founder and President, Turbonomic Mr. Kliger is Founder and President of Turbonomic (formerly VMTurbo), and is a member of the Turbonomic Board of Directors. At Turbonomic, Mr. Kliger leads product development, strategy and management. Before founding Turbonomic, he served as Vice President of Architecture and Applied Research within EMC's CTO Office (now part of Dell Technologies). Prior to that, he was the CTO of the Resource Management Software Group at EMC, which he joined through EMC's acquisition of Smarts where he was a co-founder and CTO. At Smarts, Mr. Kliger was responsible for setting the vision and strategy as well as managing the R&D, Professional Services, Technical Support and Technology Partner Development organizations. Before Smarts, he was a member of the Distributed Systems Software Technology department at IBM Research developing middleware technologies. Mr. Kliger also served as a senior researcher at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel, and Manager of Technical Support Services for International Business Software in Israel. Mr. Kliger holds a B.S. in mathematics from Bar Ilan University. He also holds an M.S. and a Ph.D. in computer science from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel. Jack Sweeney Chief Executive Officer, SevOne Mr. Sweeney is a member of the Turbonomic Board of Directors and several other technology companies. He is CEO of SevOne and the Executive Chairman at AppNeta, previously serving as its President and CEO. Mr. Sweeney has deep experience as a technology entrepreneur and investor. Previously, he was Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions at EMC (now part of Dell Technologies). Before that, he was President and CEO of Network Intelligence, Inc. where he led the organization to the successful acquisition by EMC in July 2006. Before that, Mr. Sweeney was General Partner at Prism Venture Partners, where he made significant investments in data security markets including GeoTrust, Ingrian Networks, and Silverback Technologies. Previously, he served as the CEO at EPiCON Inc., Stargus, and Bell Atlantic Network Integration. He also served as the Vice President of Sales at Bell Atlantic and was instrumental in building the division's business initiative and development. Mr. Sweeney has also worked as the National Sales Manager at Wang Laboratories' PC Systems Division and has held various marketing and management positions at Unisys. Bob Davis General Partner, Highland Capital Partners Mr. Davis has served as a member of the Turbonomic Board of Directors since June 2018. Mr. Davis is General Partner at Highland Capital Partners, focusing primarily on software and disruptive commerce. In addition to his role on the Turbonomic Board, he also currently represents Highland with FRESHLY, Handy, Harry’s, Lovepop, ALOHA, Beeswax, and sessionM. Prior to joining Highland, he served as CEO of Terra Lycos, which was formed in October 2000 with the $5.5 billion acquisition of Lycos by Telefonica’s Terra Networks. Previously, he was the Founder of Lycos, Inc. and served as its President and CEO, where he led Lycos from a start-up with $2 million in venture capital funding to become the most visited online destination in the world. Mr. Davis has advised former President Clinton on matters relating to internet commerce and regulation and has addressed Congress, The United Nations, The National Press Corps and the U.S. Council of Foreign Relations on similar matters. Mr. Davis graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern University, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. He holds an M.B.A. from Babson College, an Honorary Doctorate of Commercial Sciences from Bentley College, and an Honorary Doctorate from Northeastern University. He is an Academy of Distinguished Entrepreneurs inductee and received the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council’s Lifetime Achievement Award. Ian Penny Chief Information Officer, Hiscox Mr. Penny is a member of the Turbonomic Board of Directors. As Chief Information Officer at Hiscox, he is responsible for the Group’s IT, leading a team of 300 and reporting to the CEO. Mr. Penny is a visionary IT leader and strategist with a wealth of global, blue-chip experience. He brings expertise in leading all aspects of IT including strategy, development, engineering, operations and program execution. Prior to Hiscox, Mr. Penny was the Chief Technology Officer at Barclays, where he was responsible for IT infrastructure development and led cloud computing initiatives. During this time, he also served on the RedHat Product Advisory Board. Before that, he was Managing Director of Engineering and Architecture at JPMorgan, designing platforms for risk analytics, cloud development, and high-volume customer channels. He also has multiple experiences as a Turbonomic customer, trusting workload automation to drive greater efficiencies and accelerate digital transformation initiatives at Hiscox, in addition to his time with Barclays and JPMorgan. Mr. Penny holds a Bachelor of Science, with honors, in Computer Science from the University of Kent. He is a Fellow of the British Computer Society and has worked extensively with the Venture Capital and startup community to build applied technology solutions. Mr. Penny began his career as a distributed systems research scientist funded by the UK Government and has published papers on parallel computing and low latency networking.
