David Thomas Charles Davies (born 27 July 1970) is a British Conservative Party politician who has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Monmouth in South Wales since 2005. He served as Chair of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee from 2010 to 2019 before being appointed as a Welsh Office Minister by Prime Minister Boris Johnson in December 2019. A vocal critic of the European Union, he supported Brexit in the 2016 EU referendum. Davies has expressed the view that the effects of human factors in climate change are insignificant.
